Life With the Givens Family

Well we have been busy busy busy up here in Oregon. School is SO much harder with a baby, it seems like I never have enough time, never get enough sleep, and always have an ever looming mountain of things still to do. But amidst all this commotion life is going on and Autumn is growing like a weed! I can't believe she's already nine months old! She had her nine month well child check up today and she is now 17 lbs. 5 oz and 27.5 inches tall. This puts her in the 23rd percentile for weight and 50th for height. Little Autumn was a pumpkin for Halloween with a blue mow hawk that matched her Daddy's. Colt started a new job a few weeks ago and he is loving it.

Here are some pictures we decided to take yesterday of our little family since we didn't have any of all of us together. Also some cute pictures of Autumn and her daddy, she's so happy to have him here!

In a hurry...

It just seems like little miss Autumn is in such a hurry to grow up. She's getting so strong, holding her head up and just acting like any second she's going to walk away. She's a go girl, she always is moving and trying to be one of the grown ups. My favorite though is when she is in the tub... she is a little swimmer. She kicks her legs and flails her arms and looks at me as if to say, "This isn't fair, I just know if I wasn't supported by this seat I could swim away." This is accompanied by looks of,"Mom look what I can do, I can splash you in the face." We're driving to Utah tomorrow and I just wonder how different she will seem to them and how much more grown up even though it's been such a short period of time.

And now... drum rolls please... Autumn Alyssa is pleased to announce that her mommy and daddy are getting married! That's right! We will be tying the knot on May 9, 2009 at 1:00 at my parents house. It's been an excruciating 2 1/2 months of waiting for Miss Autumn but finally her wish has come true. Monday after the ceremony we will be taking our little family back to Oregon to live happily ever after... hopefully ;)

Utah Trip

Autumn and I just got home from our trip to Utah, this was not only Autumn's first vacation, but her first time meeting her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. It's pretty obvious they were all smitten with her.
